Wherever You Are in This, You Belong Here

Maybe you’re living with muscular dystrophy yourself, or know a loved one who is. Maybe you have lost someone to it. Their name belongs here - whether they are living with muscular dystrophy today, or are forever remembered. They are seen, honored, and never forgotten.

“Whenever I wear my shirt, it feels like hundreds of people have my back - because in a way, they do.”

This shirt isn’t just a collection of names.
It’s hundreds of stories of strength, hope, and resilience - an invisible thread connecting everyone living with muscular dystrophy.

Behind Every Name Is a Story

A fight someone is facing. A survival someone earned. A life someone is honoring. Every name on this shirt carries its own story of courage - and together, they carry each other.

A Story of Courage

Every name is a story of courage, resilience, and hope - one that deserves to be seen and honored.

Strength in Numbers

Every name printed here reflects the strength it takes to live with muscular dystrophy - and the power of facing it together.

The Invisible Thread

An unspoken thread of support connects everyone who wears this shirt. No one walks this road alone.

Add a Name to the Next Story Shirt

Submit the full name (first name + surname) of the person whose name you’d like on this shirt - someone living with muscular dystrophy, or someone you’ve lost to it. It might be you, or someone you love.

Please note:
  • Multiple names should be separated by commas. For example: Janet Lucio, Pamela Williams.
  • Please ensure all spellings are correct. Names will be printed exactly the way you submit them.
  • If you are submitting someone else’s name, ensure you have their/their family’s permission first.

Why We Created These Shirts

NamesWear was built on a simple idea: every name whispers a story. Our Story Shirts help people honor the ones they love and spread awareness for the causes closest to their hearts.

In 8+ Years of doing this, we’ve created Story Shirts for 31+ causes, gathered 450,000+ names, and made 110,000+ buyers proud to wear them - each name a real person: remembered, celebrated, or supported by someone who loves them.

A Muscular Dystrophy Awareness Story Shirt isn’t just merchandise. It turns awareness into something personal - hundreds of real names, each a real person facing this with courage every day. Wearing it says, quietly and powerfully, I stand with you.

And every shirt is a conversation waiting to happen. When someone asks about the names, that’s a moment to share what muscular dystrophy means to you and your family - and one shirt can carry that awareness to hundreds of people.

Frequently Asked Questions

Whose name can I submit?

This shirt is for the names of people who live with muscular dystrophy, or who were lost to it. Every name printed is a person who has faced the condition itself.

Can I submit more than one name?

Yes. Separate each full name with a comma, and please double-check the spelling of every one.

Does submitting a name obligate me to buy?

Not at all. Submitting a name is completely free. We’ll email you when the shirts are ready, and it’s entirely your choice whether to order.

When will the shirts be ready?

Each round is produced once enough names have come in (usually 500–600). Once we’re live and accepting names, shirts are typically ready in about 10–15 days, depending on how quickly we receive names.

How will I know when they’re ready?

We’ll let you know by email - and by text as well, if you’ve shared your mobile number.

What are “Rounds”?

Rounds are like editions. Since there’s limited space on a shirt, we can only include a set number of names per print, so we run the design in multiple rounds as new names come in.

Where will the names appear?

All names are printed on the back of the shirt. The front left chest carries a small green muscular dystrophy awareness ribbon.

How much do the shirts cost?

Prices start from $33.99, depending on the style and size you choose.

What styles and sizes do you offer?

Regular tees, V-necks, long-sleeves, and hoodies - most in sizes up to 4X or 5X.

Do you offer anything besides shirts?

Yes. Alongside the shirts, the same design is available on a range of keepsakes - including mugs, posters, and blankets - so you can carry the names with you in whatever way feels right. You’ll see all the available options once the round is ready to order.

Do you make the shirts yourselves?

We design the shirts and bring the names together; the printing and shipping are handled by our print-on-demand partner. We each do what we do best.
